What is Reclaimed wood and why should I use it?
Reclaimed wood is rich in history and quality. Old growth timber is harder, denser and more stable than wood from young trees. It also tends to have fewer knots and structural defects. These woods have become very popular in today's building projects because of their beauty and longevity. Our recycled division has brought these woods and more to help bring character and warmth to the environment.

Lifestyles create themes that can be complicated. Resource reclamation, hand in hand with recycling, is an excellent method for finding the materials you need to make the building project of your dreams.

Left to age naturally, these woods are noted for their stability, grain, character, and size. Once cut from the original old growth forest, rediscovered trees and beams are enormous, rich in grain, and colored with the structural and dimensional integrity lacking in fast growth wood found today. Some salvaged wood date back to the 1800's and are virtually unavailable in today's market.

Innovative architects, contractors, and do-it-yourselfers have discovered that recycled, reclaimed wood is the best when it comes to quality, economy, longevity, and ecology. This extraordinary wood is used to make pillars, fencing, paneling, flooring, yard/garden, decorative furniture and more.
